Starboard NPC Characters

I’ve been working on some NPC’s for my Starboard video game idea.

First up is Rosa, the bartender/waitress of an inn in the game. I’m thinking of calling it the Inky Squid. Anyway, Rosa is really friendly but can be pretty stern with troublemakers in her tavern. At the inn, you’d be able to buy food and rest up to heal your characters.

Next is Rookan, a raccoon dockworker who can repair your ship and other upgrades. He’s kinda clumsy despite his carpentry skills.

Tak is a shopkeeper. Like Rookan, he’d offer upgrades for characters, like a more powerful sword for Mara or bombs for Mander. His wares are pretty expensive, but very useful. He’s also really deadpan and bored with life and yet has a tendency to start to relate awesome life stories but never finishes them.

Kroo is a newt and works as a cartographer. Obviously, you could go to him in the game to get your maps updated and to buy new ones.

Tarr is a small-time criminal so he has connections in low places, making him and the hints you'd be able to buy from him invaluable to finding some rare goodies in the game.
