EqD Artist Training Grounds II -- Day 4

Here’s my entry for day four of Equestria Daily’s Artist Training Grounds II event. Since learning that I could only submit three entries total, I’m picking and choosing the days to submit entries for, those whose themes I’m enthusiastic about and/or am inspired by. It’s easier to draw the entries that way. For this day, the theme was “A pony on a hilltop/a pony at their peak”. Once again, Annabelle (in her pony form), is the featured pony here, and she is at her peak, so to say. She is at the top of her game artistically. Embodying the visual arts, Annabelle is naturally very good at drawing and has so drawn the pony version of the Mona Lisa, or the “Pony Lisa” as I call it

I'm still not used to drawing ponies (I think I made Annabelle's head a little small and her chest/neck look a little off), but I still like how this turned out

Just as an explanation, the other pony standing astonished by Annabelle’s skill, if you haven’t guessed already, is me, or at least me as a pony (my “ponysona” I think it’s sometimes called). His name-in-progress is Ragtag and his cutie mark is a smiley face (like this one ), though you can’t see it in his current pose. I chose the name Ragtag because I dabble in a variety of things and so liken myself to a raggedy patchwork quilt, knowing enough about these things to be familiar with them and yet not being skilled enough to be totally competent. I am not a whole piece of cloth, but the product of many smaller ones ._____. I chose a smiley face as his cutie mark since I generally enjoy making people happy either with my art or in some other way. Ragtag’s color scheme is similar to Doctor Whooves (officially named Time Turner) [link] and he has, like me, a small goatee and moustache and he likes to wear hooded cowls or flannel shirts, also like me He’s wearing a cowl in this sketch, though it’s mostly covered up by his drawing.
